Reserving Your Number
Step 1 - Reserve your number
Q. Why do I have to select a prefix - e.g. 026 2, 026 4, 026 7, 026 8?
A.These are number blocks that have been made available on the Zain network to enable you reserve your Zain number
Q.How many digits do I have to provide?
A. Enter the last six digits of your current number or any special number you have always wanted in the field/box provided
Step 2 - Tell us about yourself
Q.What information do I have to provide?
A.First and Last names, date of birth, contact number, e-mail address, Old number (to send your reserved number and reservation code to you via SMS), etc.) - All fields are mandatory except e-mail). This is to help us understand you serve you better.
Zain Communications (Ghana) Limited agrees to treat any personal data relating to this pre-registration exercise confidential. In particular, Zain will not use any such data other than in connection with and to the extent necessary for the purposes of this pre-registration exercise.
Step 3 - Confirm your detail
Q.What do I do on the confirmation page?
A. This step allows you to confirm if the details you provided are exactly what you intended to. If you wish to change any of those details, click on edit. If you are sure of your details, click on confirm.
Step 4 - Print Reservation code
Q.Why do I have to print my reservation code?
A.For safe keeping in case you lose your SMS and e-mail notifications
Q.Do I pay when I reserve a number?
A. No.
Zain does not charge for number the reservation process. However, if you use an internet cafe, the internet cafe will be charge you for the regular browsing time
Number Retrieval
Q. How do I collect my SIM card?
A. Keep your reservation code safely. You can retrieve/redeem your number;
- Remotely via SMS
- Visit to all Zain shops and accredited agents after launch
